Level 1 (SCP 9, Fixed Point)

6.25 hours per week to start immediately

 

The Governors of St Margaret Mary’s Catholic Junior School wish to appoint a Midday Supervisor to work as part of a dedicated team of staff, committed to working within the core values of the school and its Mission Statement.

 

We are looking for someone to supervise children during the lunchtime period and encourage the children to play in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy as well as promoting positive playtimes. Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential as support and training will be offered.

 

The successful candidate will work 11.55am to 1.10pm Monday to Friday term time only.

 

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure Barring Service and health clearance by the Local Authority Occupational Health provider.

The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment and therefore before appointment is formally confirmed the successful candidate at interview will be required to:

 

  • provide evidence of qualifications;
  • comply with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (as amended by S147 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002), all prospective employees will be required to supply evidence of eligibility to work in the UK;
  • satisfy health requirements for the post. This will be via the completion of a health related questionnaire which will be assessed by the School’s Occupational Health Adviser , and;
  • satisfy safeguarding requirements for the post via application for Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
