BBC Breakfast Interview with Assistant Headteacher Also this week our Assistant Headteacher, Jennifer Ambrose appeared on BBC Breakfast to talk about reducing the gap in language ability by encouraging children to articulate their thoughts, ideas and feelings. She was absolutely wonderful on live TV and was even asked by the producer after the interview if she could be contacted for future discussions! Well done to everyone involved in both of these experiences and for representing our school so well!

BBC Radio Merseyside Interview with Headteacher We hope that you were all able to listen in to the BBC Radio Merseyside ‘live’ interview which took place this week with Marcella Armstrong, Headteacher, to promote the wonderful Mini Shakespearian Globe Theatre which is being built in the grounds of our school. Feedback has been so positive and the children were also wonderful!

The Liverpool Echo’s Real School guide. This is compiled by Trinity Mirror’s Data Unit. It takes into account schools in the wider Merseyside area. Our school was placed 5th out of all the school’s with the Knowsley Authority.

Liverpool Counts Quality Mark.

Following the success of the Liverpool Reading Quality Mark, we are delighted to announce that we have been accepted onto an exciting project called the Liverpool Counts Quality Mark.

The aim of the project is to promote and foster an awareness of ‘Numeracy For Life’. Our children will be encouraged to develop positive attitudes to Maths, have the opportunity to see Maths in the real world, will be given opportunities to develop their basic skills and will have the chance to see Mathematics in a whole new light.

The award involves lots of exciting maths work and events for the children through the year. Keep an eye on this website and the school newsletter for lots of exciting mathematics news and activities to promote this core subject.

They have been working really well and have been enjoying their learning.
