Teaching time allocation is 25 hours per week. This is the time spent on teaching each school week. It includes Religious Education, but not the daily act of worship, registration or breaks.

The average number of children per class totals 30.

Children are taught in year groups. Each class is mixed ability. Within these classes children may be set or grouped according to ability for specific tasks. Each year group has its own Year Head.

Subjects are supervised by co-ordinators and subject teams, who are responsible for writing the policy and scheme of work relating to their subject. They order stock relevant to their subject and monitor the teaching of the subject throughout the school.
