Pupil Premium
At St. Margaret Mary’s Roman Catholic Junior School, our children are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every member of our community is valued and respected.
At the heart of all we do are our children. Our school is a safe environment where everyone is valued equally and encouraged to achieve their full potential as part of a community, loving, learning and growing together with Jesus.
Within this section of our website you will find our Pupil Premium Strategy for this academic year. If you have any questions or wish to speak to our Pupil Premium Co-ordinator, please phone school and ask for an appointment with Mrs Culley, Mrs Medway.
What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011, and paid by means of a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils registered as eligible for Free School Meals in Reception to Year 11. A premium has also been introduced for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces and children who are Looked After.
The Pupil Premium is additional to main school funding and it will be used by this school to address any underlying inequalities between children eligible by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.
The Pupil Premium will be used to provide additional educational support to improve the progress and to raise the standard of achievement for these pupils. We will monitor evaluate and review the success of the impact of the pupil premium funding and develop our provision as appropriate.
